cgpa-calculator.net is an independent, free, mobile-first CGPA, SGPA and percentage calculator built specifically for Indian university students. We launched the project in 2025 because too many existing calculators bury the formula, force sign-ups, or only support one grading scheme — leaving students to wrestle with the math right before placements or PG applications.
Our mission
To make every Indian student's CGPA, SGPA and percentage conversion a 10-second task — accurate, transparent and free, on any phone or laptop, without an account.
Editorial team & expertise
The site is built and maintained by a small team of Indian engineering graduates, tutors and former examination-cell volunteers who have first-hand experience with CBCS grade sheets across multiple universities. Between us we have studied or taught at institutions covered by VTU, Anna University, VIT, SRM, KTU, IPU/GGSIPU and Mumbai University.

- Technical expertise: Web engineering, accessibility, performance — every calculation runs locally in your browser.
- Editorial oversight: Every formula and FAQ on this site is reviewed by at least two team members before publication.
Editorial & fact-checking process
- Source from primary documents. Each university formula is taken from the latest published academic regulations or examination handbook.
- Cross-verify with grade sheets. Where possible we test the formula against real (anonymised) grade sheets to confirm the conversion matches the printed percentage.
- Two-person review. Both the article and the calculator output are reviewed by a second editor before publication.
- Quarterly refresh. Every university page is re-audited at least once a quarter. The "Last updated" stamp on each page reflects the most recent review.
- Reader corrections. If you spot an outdated formula, write to us and we update it within 48 hours.
